Reply- Grandpa

I don't know if I was a brat, but my chats with grandpa consisted of...."Jillian, don't interrupt" and "jillian, don't eat with your mouth full". I do remember though that I felt like I was grandpas favorite too. He would call my jilly pooh and always tell me how pretty I was. He made me feel so special. I wished I could still have him around because now I am much more interested in his life story and experiences with the war. I wish I was more interested in those things when he was still around. I will always respect him in the fact that he knew he wasn't perfect, but he still was a good member of the church, and always was reading church material and saying his prayers. He was always involved in his ward too. AFunny random thing I remember was his closet of church clothes and all of this suspenders! He had so many of them and I thought it was so weird. Grandpa did help me make a couple projects, one of them being a marble game, and I remember thinking how awesome the drill was that made perfect little marble holes.

I will never forget him eating the fat off of the roast, driving me in his bug, grandma telling him he was clear on the right, him taking me camping in his camper, the smell of his cigarettes, and his infamous study. I love and miss him so much....
