Our Story

three boys and four girls, we are the "real brothers and sisters!" California raised children, we are the products of the two most interesting people, cathy and dave warner. although all of us were raised the same, we have 7 completely different personalities. our lives are filled with challenge, joy, romance, divorce, chaos, failures, success, and parenthood. we are american life today.

sean the oldest is the leader and true example. he and robin have been married for 20 years and have 6 amazing kids. living in arizona has made their lives a little easier and fun. surviving the fire of his business, he is slowly building his company back to what it was.

jared is an amazing musician and drafsman. married to an only child, heather, they share 2 boys and 2 girls. jared has been working on keeping his marriage alive, and providing the support his family needs, while continuing to have some fun!

loyalty to his work and family have made christian successful in life. his wife dori is the love of his life and they also share 2 boys and 2 girls. living the american dream is their success.

danielle the first girl has been treated like royalty her whole life only to be humble about it now. 34 year old mother of 5 , she is a compulsive house decorator, constanly changing what she likes and wants. luckily her ever so patient husband jon loves her for it.

divorced for 8 years whitney has struggled with the religion she grew up knowing. she has lived in hollywood, studied in milan, and is working on starting a fashion business of her own. she's looking to settle down again and start a family.

ashley the quiet one, sometimes feels like an outsider, but is anything but. she is very loyal to those she loves and was blessed with the biggest heart ever. Divorced for a year now she is loving dating and finding herself again.

jillian the baby has had it good her whole life. she and todd have a 4 year old girl and almost 2 year old little boy. she is a talented interior designer and has the most amazing style. she has had to take a step back in life while her husband attends law school.

New Moon

That sounds like so much fun Whitney! Not sure when we would do it because I'm sure people have plans for shopping and such. But, we should definately try. I love going to the movies with my sisters. I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving and having the whole family here. Fun, fun, fun.

New Moon

OOps on that last post. I wanted to post this, but was trying to from my phone and it just didn't work out. So since everyone will be here for thanksgiving and most of us girls are anticipating the arrival of new moon, would you all like to plan a night to go see it? Maybe Friday or Saturday night?

let me know

seriously?

im really just going to be blunt here and ask why? why does nobody choose to participate in this blog? why does nobody even RESPOND to blogs written? why is it that i have a full time job, full time house duties (ie. cleaning, cooking, moving, organizing, etc.) AND have time to update 3 different blogs, facebook and myspace while nobody else can do these things? i have invited my entire family to a house warming party and NOBODY but Ashley has RSVP'ed. Why is this? Have i done something wrong? have I offended you? because i seem to think that i commit a lot of time to doing things for my family.

just wanted to know.

Have you heard?

If you follow my blog then you've already heard, but if not.....You're invited! This is for whoever!!!! This is our official house warming party so we would love everyone's support!

Thanks

Repy-"Im so excited"

Dude, i totally saw the preview for that last night! i vaguely remember watching that when we were young. I actually didn't remember until i read your post! it looks amazing whatever it is. finally something other than a murder show, comedy, or doctor show! Whoo Hoo!

In other news, Gordon and I are moving in this weekend and couldn't be happier! Mom and Dad have so graciously given (or lent) us the old black stand up piano that's in the barn. I figured everyone older than me has one so I was next in line. But we need help moving it! Can anyone volunteer their services one day?

PS we are having a house warming/Halloween party on the 31st. Invitations coming soon, but SAVE THE DATE.

I'm so excited!!

Has anyone seen the previews for the new show "V"?  It comes out in November.  It looks like they're changing it a little but keeping the main parts the same.  I don't know if it's a mini-series or what, but I am so excited.  I remember watching it on video all the time because we had it recorded.  For those who don't remember, it's the show where aliens that look like lizards (but disguised as humans) come to Earth to take over but try to deceive the humans by saying they came to help and wanted peace.  The best was when they would eat mice and tear off their fake skin.  I can't wait!!

4 Homos and a golfcourse

Well, i guess it's officially a tradition now, since this is the 2nd annual guys trip to Palm Springs to play golf. Thanks to Christian for setting it up both years now.....Sean, Christian, Eric Soto, and myself went friday morning out to Palm Springs and played 3 rounds of golf at 3 amazing courses on friday and saturday. We stayed at the La Quinta spa hotel, which has pools, spas, and many assorted spa treatment facilities.

It was a little warm, but not so hot that it wasn't fun. I had the closest to the pin shot, on a par 3, elevated t-box, over rocks, onto green, and came within a foot of pin, for birdie.

But Christian shot the best rounds overall, with Sean coming in 2nd and me in 3rd. It was very fun being able to hang out with my bro's, and have some guy time.

And you know what they say....."what happens in palm springs, stays in palm springs".......

thanks again Christian for putting a great weekend together.

Big Bear Vacation

Been awhile since i've posted anything.....i just wanted to tell mom and dad thanks for a great labor day weekend at big bear. We stayed at LaTrianon?....spelled wrong probably.....but you all know which cabin that is...we've stayed in it many times.

Ashley and friend were there, Christian and Dori, and me and Heather, and our kids of course. We swam, played badminton, horse shoes, celebrated birthdays, played games at night, watched football, ate, went on walks; just had all around fun and relaxation.

I have great memories of big bear, and love going up every time. And i'm glad our kids are able to have opportunities like this.

So, thankyou mom and dad for your generosity and planning.

Happy Birthday Dad!

I'm so honored that Dad chose to spend his birthday with us in Utah.  Just kidding.  I'm not a very good writer, but I just wanted to say I think we have a pretty cool dad.  I know Dad has his quiet side, but when I think of all the stuff he has done in his life, and raised seven kids, and was a Bishop and has had a successful career while doing all of that, I think he's pretty amazing.  Dad is funny in his own way, extremely talented, and not just in the music department, has always been the perfect movie date, as long as you don't ask more than three questions, and has a special place in his heart for the little grandkids.  Carley was soooo excited to see him this weekend, and I think Dad was equally as excited.  it was very cute to watch.
Anyways, I'm glad I was lucky to grow up with a Dad that loved us and took care of us, and helped us so patiently with our math homework; wait a minute, scratch that last one.
Love you Dad!!

Happy Birthday Mom!!

Another year gone by and another birthday too. Happy Birthday Mom! I want you to know we're all thinking about you, especially today and hope each year is happier than the one before. You are such a hard working, caring, supportive, loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and council women. You are always taking care of those around you and making sure everyone else is happy. You deserve a day to do what you want to do and relax. Thank you for your wonderful example and I'm so grateful to have you in my life. I love you...happy birthday.

traditions

wo its really been while since ive posted! i guess i just wanted to give the official THANK YOU to mom and dad for providing another WONDERFUL vacation for me and my lover in Newport Beach! I had some issues this year, but all in all I had an amazing time! im so greatful that i have parents who are very passionate about family tradition and have made sacrifices in their lives to provide those to their children and grandchildren.

I think it's funny that I work for them and they paid for my vacation (well I wasn't getting paid vacation hours, just a paid vacation). Gordon and I had a really good time enjoying each other that week, and heaven knows we needed a break from everything!

Sorry Jared that you were not here for this fun brother sister pic, but know that you were missed! we got to hang with you the next day when crash and sean werent there!

If you wanna see more fun pics from the trip you can visit my page or Jill's page!

We're here!!

Just wanted to give a quick update on how we're doing.  We made it to utah safe and sound, (thanks to Katie who drove with me), and we are getting settled in a little every day.  We had a good first week at church and were very excited to see all the people our age, and the huge primary.  Braden, Brynn, and Tanner have already gone to soccer practice and love their teams.  We got Jensen signed up for pre-school, and got the kids registered at Ridgeline elementary. Oh yah, and Jon is on a soccer team.  I'm going to have to work on that one for me.  Still waiting with news about the sale of the house, but the updates look good.  I'm going to try to blog on our site once a week.  Can't wait to see everyone again.

I love this bedroom

For anyone who's interested, Whitney led me to a really cool blog called House of Turquoise.  She posts a new pic everyday and the room is always some shade of turquoise with other stuff mixed in.  If you like house stuff it's pure eye candy.
I love the dark wall against the chalk colored night stands, and the upholstered head board.

New house

I just wanted to let everyone know what's going on with us with our move.  The moving truck comes this Monday, then we will go to Utah Tuesday, come back in time for Brynn's dance recital Saturday night,(sorry we're missing the baptism), go to the beach house after church on Sunday.  Send the kids up with Jon to soccer camp the next week, play in Ca. for a couple weeks, then head up for the final time Monday July 27th.  That sounds like a normal month for Mom, but not for us.  I'm just glad we have a lot of fun stuff in between the crazy stuff.  So here is our new address.
6625 W Burgundy Way
Highland, Utah 84003
I can't believe this is really happening!!!!!
I'm feeling a huge mix of emotions, but I know this is the right thing to do for our little family and I really appreciate everyone's help and support.  Can't wait for the BEACH HOUSE!!!
Here are some pictures just for fun.

Happy Birthday Jilly Bean!

so Jillian (the youngest) turned 26 last week! So instead of my usual talking about all her great qualities and fun personality, which I have to say she is amazing, I thought I would feature her amazing hair over the last 26 years!

she was so cute with this 1/4 pony tail my mom used to pull tightly in her hair!
Photobucket

i just love this picture of her.....and her cute curly hair!
Photobucket

i think this is when our mother decided that taking half of our hair, pulling it forward, chopping it into bangs, AND THEN perming it would be cute!
Photobucket

and her famous bo-derek braids we did every summer! Beads not included!
Photobucket

the scrunchy look was really "in" in the 90's! throw some mouse in, flip your head over, scrunch, and GO!
Photobucket

and my favorite of all, her red low lights she did to the bottom half of her hair! she was one-of-a-kind and very creative I must say!

love you Jill!

its a sad day to see the salmon go....

so here it is! an almost, so close, not quite there library! what do you think? hooray for mom for being brave and letting dad choose the final color and not going with another beige! thanks jillian and me for suggesting such a bold color. AND thanks danielle for providing her dining room paint swatch for mom and dad.

i think it turned out amazing! don't you? and now we are trying to decide whether or not to keep the random pieces of white trim white, or paint them red?

don't mind the blue tape. one more coat to go!

why do us warner kids always seem to be getting hurt? i think it's because we are tough players! LOL. Im sorry Jill that you hurt yourself.
