the real brothers & sisters

Our Story

three boys and four girls, we are the "real brothers and sisters!" California raised children, we are the products of the two most interesting people, cathy and dave warner. although all of us were raised the same, we have 7 completely different personalities. our lives are filled with challenge, joy, romance, divorce, chaos, failures, success, and parenthood. we are american life today.

sean the oldest is the leader and true example. he and robin have been married for 20 years and have 6 amazing kids. living in arizona has made their lives a little easier and fun. surviving the fire of his business, he is slowly building his company back to what it was.

jared is an amazing musician and drafsman. married to an only child, heather, they share 2 boys and 2 girls. jared has been working on keeping his marriage alive, and providing the support his family needs, while continuing to have some fun!

loyalty to his work and family have made christian successful in life. his wife dori is the love of his life and they also share 2 boys and 2 girls. living the american dream is their success.

danielle the first girl has been treated like royalty her whole life only to be humble about it now. 34 year old mother of 5 , she is a compulsive house decorator, constanly changing what she likes and wants. luckily her ever so patient husband jon loves her for it.

divorced for 8 years whitney has struggled with the religion she grew up knowing. she has lived in hollywood, studied in milan, and is working on starting a fashion business of her own. she's looking to settle down again and start a family.

ashley the quiet one, sometimes feels like an outsider, but is anything but. she is very loyal to those she loves and was blessed with the biggest heart ever. Divorced for a year now she is loving dating and finding herself again.

jillian the baby has had it good her whole life. she and todd have a 4 year old girl and almost 2 year old little boy. she is a talented interior designer and has the most amazing style. she has had to take a step back in life while her husband attends law school.

politics

Whitney, i feel your pain. while things may never get better in California, at least on the national front, people woke up and wised up a bit, by voting dem's out of congress. Unfortunately, the political baboons in California affect our daily lives more than the national congress...at least financially...which is #1 on my list of issues. so, it's a tough pill to swallow. we've been thinking about moving out of state for a long time now....it hasn't gotten better and doesn't look it's going to get better anytime soon.

but, we have to keep voting the best people in, whether they have a chance or not.

the once beautiful state of california.....

.....is now going to sh*t!!!! As most of you know, at least I hope you know, that yesterday was election day. Well its been a horrible couple years for everyone across the US, but especially horrible here in california. Schwartzenegger, pretty much screwed things up and has now set the bar for future republicans that run for office. Mike Villines, another Republican voted to raise our taxes almost two years ago, also giving us a bad name. But just because we had a couple of nitwits in office doesn't mean we shouldn't have any more!

Well its too late for that. The people of california have voted and elected the idiot Jerry Brown as our new governor, and Barbara Boxer for senate. These two have been in office so long and have never made our state better, it makes me think how idiotic the people are to vote them back in!!!!! Im so mad right now! I just tried to call my mom to vent but its only 6:30 am in Hawaii so Ill have to wait.

So my conclusion is that most of the voters are protected by the precious Unions and told how to vote. They have never looked at these people, heard their speeches, or made a decision on their own. So it just goes to show that because this state has idiots living in it, of course they will elect another idiot to represent them!!!!

nice going california.

flash back photo

wow, I cant believe how long its been since any of us have contributed to this!!!! so since I feel out of touch with my brothers and sisters, I thought I would post a little flash back photo! you all know that mom is crazy with all her pictures, and of course they're everywhere in the house and all over my room. i think these ballet pictures are hilarious. I hated ballet with a passion, and having to go from soccer practice to ballet practice was not my cup of tea!

Ankle

wow, how long has it been. I figured this is always the best way to talk to everyone. Just wanted to let everyone know, thank you for all the well wishes and thank you mom, dad, Whitney, and anyone else who contributed for the care package. I almost started crying when I saw the card with everyone's little notes. I miss all of those little things, especially the fun Sunday dinners and little cousin outings. I'm so grateful we are all able to make time to spend with each other through out the year. Anyways, for those of you who might not know, I had my left ankle reconstructed with new tendons, and I have the biggest cast ever. I know I need someone to take a picture of me.(coming soon). I get it off sept. 16th and will have a walking cast for 2 months. The doctor said I need to do the other one in about six months. So it might be a long year. Does anyone remember when I got hurt playing soccer at Thanksgiving at michigan park? I think mom heard the snap sound from the sidelines. Well, that's what I'm fixing. Still wouldn't give up all the fun years of playing sports, and after the recoveries I will be 95% back to my original strength. Hope everyone is doing well. I'm sure all the moms will agree with me that we are glad school is back in! Talk soon, Love Danielle

mom's honored with the CUW

as some may already know that our mother Cathy Warner was honored as woman of the year, thanks to her sister BJ, with the California Utah Women's organization. What a cool honor for all her years of service! My aunt BJ organized all the details of getting her honored, ie letters of recommendations, and also got all the siblings and close friends commited to coming for this day. BJ is a wonderful woman just as my mom and should be honored as well, but you can only have one.

Here are some pictures from the event.

GIRLS TRIP 2010-PARK CITY, UT

Just wanted to tell you all how much fun I had last weekend on our 3rd annual girls trip. I love being with my sisters, they are my best friends and my biggest critics. But...that's what makes our relationships so great, is that we love each other enough to say the things to each other that might hurt a little but will make us stronger individuals. I hate the fighting, but I love our passion.

I enjoyed seeing Danielle's kids on Thursday morning and love that they are self sufficient. Even little Jensen was dressed had his hair done and was eating breakfast just with a little help from his older brother. So cute. Danielle and Jon's house is beautiful and I'm happy for them.

Park City was gorgeous. It snowed a little each day and the scenery was magnificent. Every single resort and house was big and beautiful. At night, there were several white lights all over the city and it just looked like a Christmas Card. Our room was awesome. The day that the girls went snowboarding, I enjoyed being alone in a great apartment with a huge bubble bath and some music....I also cleaned up while they were gone, I'm not going to lie.

The dinners were fancy, the evenings full of talking, magazines, cards and music was full of fun. I enjoyed the Yoga and am now going to pick it up once a week at my gym. But, the massage was the best. So needed for all 4 of us. We had a good time hanging out at the spa afterwards talking too. We never seem to run out of things to talk about.

The traveling was a downer, but thanks Dad and Danielle for all the airport trips. Thanks to all for a successful and fun trip. Glad to home. :)

generations of love

just think it's interesting that both mom and grandma needed surgeries the same week! im glad mom is doing better and Im praying that grandma will do well today and the recovery, being 90 must be really hard to get better quickly.

It made me think yesterday how much mom has done for us kids while we were sick, recovering from surgery, helping after a baby is born, etc. Not to leave dad out of the giving part, but mom is having the surgery, not dad. And what will we do for her? Why haven't I taken off work to be with her, or cooked dinner for her and dad, or offered to do the laundry? They taught us to do these things, to give service especially to those closest to us. Mom and Dad were the perfect example to us in this category. I know what I need to do, and I hope you each can find a way to contribute and help out. I know that some of us closest to mom and grandma have been able to help a lot and i know they appreciate that with all their hearts.

BTW, thanks for all the birthday wishes on Friday, it means so much!

New Moon

That sounds like so much fun Whitney! Not sure when we would do it because I'm sure people have plans for shopping and such. But, we should definately try. I love going to the movies with my sisters. I'm really looking forward to Thanksgiving and having the whole family here. Fun, fun, fun.

New Moon

OOps on that last post. I wanted to post this, but was trying to from my phone and it just didn't work out. So since everyone will be here for thanksgiving and most of us girls are anticipating the arrival of new moon, would you all like to plan a night to go see it? Maybe Friday or Saturday night?

let me know

20091028

seriously?

im really just going to be blunt here and ask why? why does nobody choose to participate in this blog? why does nobody even RESPOND to blogs written? why is it that i have a full time job, full time house duties (ie. cleaning, cooking, moving, organizing, etc.) AND have time to update 3 different blogs, facebook and myspace while nobody else can do these things? i have invited my entire family to a house warming party and NOBODY but Ashley has RSVP'ed. Why is this? Have i done something wrong? have I offended you? because i seem to think that i commit a lot of time to doing things for my family.

just wanted to know.

20091026

Have you heard?

If you follow my blog then you've already heard, but if not.....You're invited! This is for whoever!!!! This is our official house warming party so we would love everyone's support!

Thanks

Repy-"Im so excited"

Dude, i totally saw the preview for that last night! i vaguely remember watching that when we were young. I actually didn't remember until i read your post! it looks amazing whatever it is. finally something other than a murder show, comedy, or doctor show! Whoo Hoo!

In other news, Gordon and I are moving in this weekend and couldn't be happier! Mom and Dad have so graciously given (or lent) us the old black stand up piano that's in the barn. I figured everyone older than me has one so I was next in line. But we need help moving it! Can anyone volunteer their services one day?

PS we are having a house warming/Halloween party on the 31st. Invitations coming soon, but SAVE THE DATE.
